Dear Readers

I would like to discuss the difference of being Catholic and the difference of being Protestant. The Catholic Church is the only church that can go all the way back to the time of the 12 Apostles of Christ.

The Protestant Reformation began October 31, 1517 by a man named Martin Luther, who was a priest at this time In Catholic church history.

If the people didn’t donate enough money to the Church, they wouldn’t receive an indulgent. An indulgent means cutting your time in Purgatory. This made Martin Luther very angry and he put a statement on the Church door and he wanted to change the theology.

This is what started the Lutheran Church. He wanted to take certain books out like the book of Maccabees even the book of Acts that Luke wrote but he decided not to.

He never lost his devotion to the Blessed Mother. After Martin Luther died the Lutheran Church decided to change its devotion to the Blessed Mother.

After Martin Luther there were many other denominations that sprung up and broke away from each other. We now have over 1400 different denominations of Christianity. This cannot be true. Yes, we are all believers in Christ. Every Christian is a believer in Christ. Like scripture says “On this rock I shall build my Church”.

Jesus did not say churches, He said Church, the one Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail there against it.

The belief that Catholics have and belief that Protestants have is we Catholics believe in the real presence of the Eucharist.

John Chapter Six and the Gospel of John says “Eat of My body and drink of My blood”. Jesus did not mean this in a metaphorical sense, He meant it in a literal sense.

At the time Jesus was saying that the apostles ran away. Many of the apostles ran away because they did not understand this. It wasn’t until after He was crucified that the apostles began to understand.

Jesus celebrated the first Mass of the Last Supper when He broke the bread and said “this is My body which will be given up for you. And this is my blood which will be shed for you”.

After Jesus was crucified. The Holy of Holies in the Jewish temple were stripped. And the Spirit of God left the Ark of the Covenant and now we have the Spirit of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist.

Every time the Mass is said the ordinary bread is transformed into the actual body and blood of Jesus Christ through transformation. And we know that the wine and bread is actually transformed into the body and blood of Christ through a scientific experiment of a bleeding host.

The Protestants do Communion once a month but they just believe that it is a symbolic meal that they do in remembrance. They do not believe that when they take communion that it is the actual body and blood of Christ.

Many Protestants cannot understand “John Six” and they say that Jesus was just speaking in metaphorical terms but this is not true as Jesus is God the Father
incarnate.

When Jesus said “eat of My body, eat of My flesh and drink of My blood” he is God so He means it in a literal sense He gives it to us through the Eucharist.
Another thing that the Protestants are against is intercessory prayer such as praying to Mary. What the Protestants don’t understand is that when you pray the rosary you are meditating on the gospel. You are not worshiping Mary but are asking Mary to help you. We see this in the book of Tobit which Martin Luther took out.

We have 74 books and the Protestants have 66 because the Protestants decided to take out certain books such as the Book of Tobit where the Angel Rafael appears to a man who lost his sight. Another book they decided to take out is the book of Maccabees where it says pray for your ancestors that have gone before you.

That verse in Maccabees is referenced to purgatory because if there was just a heaven and a hell than why would scripture say pray for your ancestors that have gone before you. It must mean there must be some final purification before you enter into the Kingdom of God.

This is something that the Protestants refused to look at because they just want to believe there is just a heaven and a hell. If you really think about it purgatory is Gods mercy.

There’s many references of purgatory in the “Book of Wisdom” and “Corinthians” and in the “Book of Maccabees” which was taken out of the King James Bible by Martin Luther.

The Catholics have these books and it is called the “Apocrypha Books”. And another thing that the Protestants don’t believe in is having Jesus on the Cross.
Many Protestant Denominations don’t have Jesus on the cross. Just a blank symbol that to me gives the cross less authority.

The reason why Catholics have the body of Jesus on the cross is to remember what he did for us. That final sacrifice so there would be no need to sacrifice the bulls and rams. He was the final sacrifice and Jesus wants us to look at the Cross and be humbled before Him. And, Satan hates the body of Christ on the cross. Because, he remembers that through Jesus sacrifice he was defeated.

Protestant means protesting against the Universal Church. I tried doing a YouTube video on this, but YouTube shut me down.

Back in the early Church there was this council called “The Council of Trent” which decided which books would come out and which books would come in to the New Testament and Old Testament.

Without this council we would not even have the Bible. And this council was held by the Catholic Church way before the Protestant Reformation.

So, when the Protestants say that the Catholic Church is false… without the Catholic Church, we wouldn’t even have a New Testament or any Scriptures to look at.

Before they put a Cannon together. These books in the Bible which we have today were just a bunch of scrolls sitting on a table being examined by the early Church fathers. And thats something that the Protestants don’t have.

They don’t have anything that can go as far back as the early Church. The Catholic Church is the only church that’s been around for 2000 years.

Protestantism has only been around for over 500 years. Pope Francis wanted to celebrate the anniversary of Protestantism.

Rumor has it that a few Bishops went into a room before they were going to have the celebration and they saw Martin Luther in Hell and decided not to celebrate Protestantism. I believe that even though Martin Luther apologized, the Bible does say in the Book of Revelation, you shall not add or take away from my word. And thats exactly what Martin Luther did.

He took away certain things which he shouldn’t have done. Now I can’t say he is in hell. I don’t know if that vision is true, but that is just what I have read.

So if you have a Bible you can thank the Catholic Church because if not for the Catholic Church we would not have the word of God in our possession.
